A nurse-centric approach to hospital staffing

CascadeFN went from idea to Prototype to MVP, keeping pace with the go to market demands of a fast moving health tech startup.
Hospitals have been throwing money at nurse staffing shortages. This worked in the short term, and got us through a pandemic. But it is not sustainable, and its not just money on the line. When systems run poorly, nurses are unhappy, and patient care can decline.
CascadeFN is a platform to optimize clinician staffing at a hospital or hospital system. It allows the hospital units to see all options for open shifts - staff nurses, internal float pools and external per diem and traveler resources in one place at the same time. The system makes recommendations for the most efficient staffing solutions, and then uses a built in messaging engine to confirm the shift with the right pool of nurses.

Germinate delivers "Product as a Service"

Cascade Technology Systems tapped Germinate to take CascadeFN from idea to prototype to MVP. Using Germinate’s adaptation of the Design Sprint process, the team brought Figma plans to customers and prospects, shaping the vision along the way.

The MVP was built using modern Javascript frameworks designed to stay lightweight and nimble, but also secure and ready for integration into enterprise scheduling systems.

Making the Nurse Experience better to allow them to review shift details and confirm or reject them in an easy way.

Customize preferences for time schedule

Customizing Preferences allow Nurses to be able to select preferred Facilities and weekly schedule time preferences too. This makes the staffing process easier.
